We have a few big events in our Social Media sphere this week, across the globe we are about to begin Social Media Week (#smweek & #smwmiami). These are live events and Miami is a host city, so we’ll have more than a few taking place locally. (educational and networking)
The Miami Social Media Week Calendar: http://socialmediaweek.org/miami/schedule/
Most of these calendar events will be taking place at the Mondrian South Beach Hotel, a few will be held elsewhere and seats are still available for most and as of this email all the networking events are still open. If your work schedule or the event location present a conflict you can use LiveStream.com for coverage of the sessions: http://new.livestream.com/smwmiami
The Global SMW App is also a great resource to keep on hand for global coverage:http://socialmediaweek.org/mobileapps/
The Opening Remarks are Monday morning 9:30am at Mondrian with Gerard Bush:http://socialmediaweek.org/miami/events/?id=75864#.UR_kBR0qbR8
The SMW Kickoff Networking event is Monday 5:30pm at Shore Club:http://socialmediaweek.org/miami/events/?id=76795#.UR_fCh0qbR8

Also, on Wednesday, from 4:30pm – 7pm will be a “Grassroots” social media discussion held at PAX Miami in Brickell, this is not an ‘official social media week event’ but will discuss using social media for grassroots organizations and movements: https://www.facebook.com/events/470721959661627/
